Learn the Laws

If you’re going to represent yourself in court it will be a good idea to have a basic understanding of the applicable laws you’ll be dealing with.

This page will list the laws that are applicable to foreclosure cases, provide a link to a site where you can read the law as it is written and, in some cases, provide an example of how you would word a cause of action in a civil complaint when the law is violated.

Not every law here will apply to everyone’s situation, I merely put them here as a reference so you can become more educated.

To learn more about the legal system itself I would highly recommend ordering this home study course from JurisDictionary. It gives the layperson a crash-course in legal procedure for an affordable price.
